Spring 2009 Admission Deadline is October 31

Dear Prospective Applicant,

We’d like to remind you that the deadline for admissions to the CTER Online Master of Education (Ed.M.) program is October 31, 2008 (deadline extended). This deadline is for those who wish to begin our program in January 2009. The deadline for the summer 2009 cohort (beginning in June) will be in April.

CTER is an exciting graduate program which offers courses that will let you experience advanced learning technologies first-hand. Not only that, we offer courses on technology integration and educational reform by examining networked learning applications, writing grant proposals, and learning program evaluation methods, among other topics. Students have applied the technology and skills they learned directly into their classrooms and workplaces where they teach.

While our courses are geared towards practicing teachers in K-12, college-level instructors, technology coordinators, school administrators, and those involved in private or commercial learning sectors have successfully completed our program as well. Since CTER courses are project-based, you will have opportunities to develop projects based on your professional interests.

Courses are held in Moodle, a popular course management system that allows you to interact effectively with course content, instructors, and fellow students. Most courses also have a real-time audio-visual chat session once a week using Elluminate (http://elluminate.com). We also use Mahara (http://mahara.org) for our ePortfolio system and student projects.

Our graduates become leaders in technology integration and become equipped skills and the knowledge to carry out educational reform.
